“ Was listed as one of the best fish and chip places in Lowestoft and they are not wrong. Went for the standard size and glad we did as don't think would have managed the large. The fish was excellent, tightly battered so there was no parts of the the batter that was just air, and it was cooked to perfection. Good portion of chips accompanies it. Dolphin isn't on the front or on the main street but not far away so if you are looking for a superb dish seek them out, you will not be disappointed. ”

“ Did have lunch recently. Ordered larger fish and chip. Fish - really big one and I cannot have any chip after fish as I am full. Crispy cover and fish inside give tender and fresh taste. Oily but it is fish and chip. . I tried many fish and chips before . It is my most favourite one now as fish’s taste does not go away. Will just have regular one next time. ”

“ Went here last week with friends at teatime & we ate in their restaurant. The food was extremely tasty - we could tell that it had all been freshly cooked to order & not just sat around like some chippies do. The chips were beautifully cooked as were the sausages that I had. My 2 friends each had the fish & said that the golden batter in it was the nicest they'd eaten in a very long time. Food wise, I'd give this place top marks for sure. The only drawback here is they are quite expensive we thought - £48 for 3 people in a chip shop? Maybe it's with the price of everything going up, & the fish was absolutely gorgeous as I said, plus you always pay more to sit in instead of takeaway, but we just thought it was slightly steep. But hey ho, we all enjoyed it and that's what matters, so ok to pay it as a treat now & then, but you couldn't really afford those prices on a regular basis to visit a backstreet chippy I wouldn't have thought. I'd come back here though if in the area as although a bit pricey, the food quality certainly makes up for it. ”

But i was very satisfied with how much I got as you can probably tell from the picture, the fish is hanging from the plate. Everything was delicious, and the price was good too.
